Allen Tate Honored by Leading Real Estate Companies of the World

Allen Tate has been named the first Director Emeritus of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (Leading RE), the world’s largest network of independent real estate firms.

Tate was presented with this special distinction on March 28, at the organization’s Annual Business Conference held at the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Leading RE was established in September 1997 as Reliance Relocation Services, Inc. Tate was instrumental in bringing together more than 30 independent real estate companies to form a broker-owned independent real estate network, and served as the network’s first chairman. The organization went through several mergers and name changes in the past decade.

In 2005, it became Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, a global network of 700 premier real estate firms with 5,500 offices and 170,000 sales associates in 38 countries around the world.

“The collective power and performance of this network has far surpassed that of any prior networks and would have never happened without the vision and passion of the man we honor tonight,” said Pam O’Connor, president and CEO, Leading RE, as she presented Tate’s award.

Tate served as a member of the Leading RE Board of Directors from its inception in 1997 to 2008, when he elected to step down and “pass the reins” to others engaged in the future of the real estate industry. He remains actively involved in the organization as a mentor and advisor.
